C for Experienced Programmers

This seminar is a practical discussion of the C programming language. It builds on the current knowledge and abilities of experienced programmers instead of starting from scratch. The emphasis is on topics which will advance the knowledge and capabilities of the experienced programmer who wants to learn C.

Topics to be covered include:

The goal of this seminar is to allow the attendee to understand and utilize the C programming language. Various issues involving code portability and understandability will also be considered.

Prerequisites of Attendees:

Attendees should be familiar with 3GL programming. The topics are not environment specific, so VAX and UNIX experience is not required, but may be helpful. Although it is not a requirement, many of the attendees of this seminar in the past have had experience with COBOL.

Focus:

Intermediate to Advanced level, technical.
