Introduction to SAS Programming

Alternate Title: SAS Programming is not just for Statistics

This seminar is a practical discussion of SAS programming topics. The emphasis is on topics which will advance the knowledge and capabilities of the SAS programmer.

Topics to be covered include:

The goal of this seminar is to allow the attendee to understand and utilize the SAS Core product. Various issues involving code and execution efficiency, program structure, procedural versus non-procedural coding will also be considered.

Prerequisites of Attendees:

Attendees should be familiar with other programming languages through actual programming experience. Experience with other fourth generation languages (4GL's) could be helpful. Because most of the topics are not hardware specific, there is not a operating system experience requirement.

Introductory to Intermediate level, technical.
